Doug Marcis has been studying, performing, and teaching guitar for over 20 years.

While pursuing his BA at University of Memphis Lambuth, he began teaching music and has continued lessons ever since. After graduating, Doug moved to the vibrant music scene of Austin absorbing many styles of music and continuing his teaching at 'Northwest School of Music' and 'Don't Stop Rockin.’ To be closer to family, Doug moved back to Tennessee where he taught for the local music store and as adjunct faculty for the local university. There, he performed with bands, duo acts, and solo across the region.

Over his musical journey, Doug has developed clear and rewarding methods for teaching music that imbue student confidence. Comfortable with many genres, he makes sure you are having fun and are achieving your musical goals.
